At one point, she had to choose between a career in music or finance, Stine admits "I was a pretty decent piano and clarinet player then. But looking back, I can't say that I regret keeping my music as an off-hours thing."
"I find life with Northzone truly amazing. There's a unique freedom in thought and an intellectual flexibility here. And everybody is genuinely interested in what they do."
Stine joined Northzone in 2001 and her main tasks are Investor Relations, financial due diligence and financial reporting and control. The days are full of different challenges and demand creativity and the ability to do the first - and right - thing first.
These days, what with the financial crisis and economic slump, I find demand for my role at all time highs", Stine says. "More than ever, we need to stay on top of things and really keep an eye on worst-case scenarios as well as the opportunities that inevitably arise at this stage in the cycle."
No one would be better prepared for the task, however. Stine holds an MBA in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen, Norway. Her skills have been well documented in her previous positions as a Due Diligence Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and as CFO with TDC Norway AS.
