Dom Taylor
Dom is Northzone’s Head of Legal. Prior to joining Northzone, Dom worked at Phoenix Court, home of the LocalGlobe, Latitude and Solar funds. At the beginning of his career he spent six years at US law firm Cooley in its VC and M&A practice, which included a client secondment at Wise to support on its Nasdaq listing. He has also had internships in politics and investment management.
Dom read History at Oxford before moving to London for law school.
He loves working with companies on the frontier and is a strong believer in the European innovation ecosystem, so joining a European VC was a natural next step from private practice.
Where would we find you outside of work?
Out on my road bike: climbing famous mountains in the Alps, following pro bike races in Belgium, or exploring new routes with friends in the countryside around London. I love the freedom that simple invention gives you.
What’s something you’ve read or heard recently that’s impacted you?
Artemis II got me completely hooked on space exploration. Aside from the science and the thrill of pushing the frontier, I find the geopolitical backdrop to space exploration fascinating. Artemis IV will (fingers-crossed) be a milestone moment - only 20% of humans alive today were around at the time of the last moon landings.
